The A Thousand Words exhibition aims to explore the relationship between — and many uses of — text in art.
A simple site was required in order to promote the event, demonstrate the reasoning behind the works chosen, and offer some interpretation of the pieces on display.
The site’s primary goal was to increase exposure of the event, and give the various social media platforms a base to link back to. Readability and convenience were of upmost priority, so the design reflects a simple, type led approach. Printed materials such as posters and A6 flyers were produced, keeping in line with the stark aesthetic of the site, to aid with the off-line promotion of the exhibition.
The A Thousand Words exhibition runs from 25th April to the 18th May 2013, at the Hatton Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne.
